TWO BLOW-OUTS
WATER SUPPLY ON PLAINS TROUBLE DURING JANUARY That during January two blow-outs had occurred in the East Water Supply was reported .to Wednesday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council by the Water Supply Supervisor, Mr J. Bradford.
“One occurred on the 10-inch main next to the pressure tank at the bottom of Huirau road and the other on the 9-inch main in front of . Henwood’s property on the Turua-Nether-ton highway. “‘Both were repaired in 12 hours, the supply being turned on the same night. “The blow-outs caused the drains to slip and a fair amount of shovelling work had to be done,” stated the report.
