STAND BUILT AT KAIHERE

COUNCIL GRANTS PERMISSION

A request for permission to erect a loading stage on the side of the road near the Kaihere ferry was granted N.Z. Woolpack & Textiles Ltd., (Mangaiti Stripping Mill) at Wednesday’s meeting of the Hauraki Plains County Council.

The mill manager,® in applying for permission wrote stating that the loading stage was required to facilitate the loading of flax on lirries. The stage, he stated, would be quite clear of the road and would not obstruct traffic in any way. Lorries when loading would be right off the metal part of the road. Permission was granted.
