“RECRUITING PARTY”

NGATEA SCOUT & CUB GROUP PRESENTATION OF BADGES A very successful “recruiting party” was held during last week by the Ngatea Scout and Culb group. Mr and Mrs F. Baibley, of Hotgl Ngatea, kindly lent two rooms for the occasion, and the scout committee assisted in the catering. The evening was devoted to games and competitions, interspersed with items from various members of the troop. After a sumptuous supper, the evening concluded in good scouting style with a sing-song round the fire. Before the party broke up, Captain V. C. Bunce, scoutmaster, presented proficiency badges (Pathfinders) to Troop-leader ‘ Wynn Speedy and Patrol-leader Arthur Jones. Following the speech, three hearty cheers were’ given for all who had helped in arranging the evening.
