PETITION FOR PRESERVATION

AREA ON THE PENINSULA

At the monthly meeting of the Coromandel County Council a petition was presented on behalf of Mr Rogers to have the lands between the coastal road and' the shore, where the coastal road runs alongside the shore and all Crown lands, declared scenic reserves, without affecting private property rights, between Coromandel and Port Jackson.

It was proposed by Cr. A. J. Denize and seconded by Cr. J. G. Strongman, “That the council approve of the .petition and authorise the signing of same under the common seal of the council.”—Carried.
