GIRL GUIDES
VISIT FROM COMMISSIONER
AN INTERESTING AFTERNOON
On Saturday, June 27, Mrs Harrison, district commissioner for the Girl Guides, paid her first official visit to the “Karamaina” Company, Girl Guides, Coromandel. During the course of the afternoon Mrs Harrison enrolled seven new girls into the company, and later tested six girls for their secondclass badge. All six girls passed.
The ladies of the Girl Guide Committee were present and served to all a very enjoyable afternoon tea. At the conclusion of the afternoon, Mrs Harrison spoke a few words of advice and encouragement to the girls, regarding their guide work and all the good it stands for. All thanks are due to Mrs Harrison for her help that afternoon.
