PAEROA COMMITTEE MEETS
GIFT PARCEL APPRECIATED
The monthly meeting of the Paeroa and District Patriotic Committee was held in Coronation Chambers, Paeroa, on Monday night, Mr T. A. Barrett presiding. Others present were Mesdames E. Edwards, R. Buckrell, G. Bennett, J. R. Nelson, R. S. Carden and Messrs A. A. Jenkinson, G. Knap, R. L. Darley, W. Nicholls, T. G. Taupaki, Rev. W. G. H. Weadon, Rev. J. R. Nelson and the secretary, Mr R. S. Nicol. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames W. Marshall, J. R. Kidd and G. Lamb, Misses G. Lamb and V. Menzies and Messrs Edwin Edwards, W. Marshall,, A. E. Day, J. R. Kidd, C. A. Blackwood, W. V. Aston and D. Prime. Sister M. C. Dean, formerly of Paeroa and now in the Middle East, wrote expressing her appreciation of the Christmas parcel she had received from the Paeroa Patriotic Committee.
“Everything arrived in excellent condition and will be most useful. I appreciate your kindness greatly,” wrote Sister Dean.
