RUGBY IN PAEROA

MEETING OF THE UNION OFFICIALS FOR THE SEASON The first meeting of the 'management committee of the Paeroa Rugby Union was held in the office of the secretary, Mr K. C. Niblock, on Monday night, the chairman, Mr D. G. McMillan presiding. Others present were Messrs G. Masters, W. F. F. Faber, A. Lindsay, V. O’Loughlin, C. Bradley, J. Carmine and the secretary, Mr K. C. Nilblock. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs G. Avery, W. Bailey and R. L. Darley. The question of the competitions to be held during the season was discussed and it was decided that each club submit a list of players to the next meeting of the committee when grading, etc., will be carried out. The secretary was also instructed to write to both the Waihi and. Te Aroha Unions to see whether regular weekly inter-sub-union matches could be arranged. It was agreed that the chairman and any two members of the committee be a registration committee for the season.

Messrs McMillan, Niblock, Darley, Faiber and J. Jensen were appointed the executive committee.

It was agreed that the whole management committee be the insurance committee.

Messrs Darley, Masters, Lindsay and Fabei’ were appointed delegates to the Valley Rugby Union. Mr Faber was appointed deputy chairman. It was decided to hold a working bee next Tuesday after 5 p.m. to mark out the ground and erect the posts.
