ANNUAL MEETING IN PAEROA

OFFICERS ELECTED FOR YEAR

The annual meeting of the Ohinemuri Acclimatisation Club was held in the Fire Station, Paeroa, recently when the president, Mr R. 'S. Carden, presided over the following:—-Messrs W. 'Griffin, F. Dare, C. Neilson, A. Goldsworthy, A. Bridge, G. B. Neil, W. Spinks, C. Miller, R. Kilgour, J. Cheale, D. McGregor, W. Warner, R. Wilkinson, L. Gloyn, E. Anderton, J. Wani, E. Edwards, L. Nevin, R. L. Davies, F. Bennett, R. T. ‘Hill, H. Candy, H. Stone, H. Innis, J. Bennett, A. Stone, R. Bennett, and the secretary, Mr H. H. Follas.The following were the officers elected: —Patron, Mr J. Thorn, M.P.; president, Mr R. S. -Carden; vicepresidents, Messrs F. Bennett (Kerepeehi), D. Leach (Paeroa), J. Darlington (Ngatea), A. Bridge (Paeroa), F. Dare (Karangahake) and P, O’Neill (Paeroa); secretary and treasurer, Mi' H. H. Follas; auditor, Mr A. Dance; general committee, Messrs R. S. Garden, H. H. Follas, J. Darlington, F. I. Tuke, C. Neilson, A. Pivott, R. McKee, W. H. Taylor, L. Nevin, J. Hamilton, J. Cheale, E. Edwards, C. Miller, W. Griffin, F. Dare, R. Wilkinson, B. Gwilliam, A. Bridge, H. Taylor, J. Pascoe, C. Wickliffe, J. Mead, A. Goldsworthy, R. Kilgour, M. Ratcliffe, W. Bain, J. Allen, D. Leach, C. Pearce, C. and K. Herowani, C. Schultz, W. Spinks, J. Smith, ‘P. Duncan, W. Richmond, F. Bennett, R. T. Hill, H. Taylor. A strong game and fish committee was also elected. It was decided that the meeting reaffirms the decision, to hold the birds till early spring, Mr L. Nevin being willing to look after them until then. KEREPEEHI BRANCH FORMED ELECTION OF OFFICERS

At the conclusion of the meeting a number of Kerepeehi sportsmen assembled with the object of forming a branch of the Ohinemuri Acclimatisation Club at Kerepeehi and at which Mr R. S. Carden occupied the chair. The following were the officers ■elected:—President, Mr F. Bennett; secretary and treasurer, Mi’ H. Candy; game committee, president and. secretary and Messrs J. Bennett, R. Bennett, R. T. Hill, H. Candy, H. Stone, H. Innis and A. Stone with power to add. The formation of this branch should do much to improve the sport inKerepeehi.
