NOT TO BE WRAPPED

PARCELS FROM GROCER ARTICLES WELL PACKED PAEROA FIRMS FALL INTO LINE As from April 30, the grocers of Paeroa will not re-wrap any article sold by them which is packed sufficiently to ensure its protection, states an announcement which appears in the advertising columns of the Gazette

to-day. This decision has been reached as the result of an announcement made by the Government recently which stated that in view of the difficulty of securing paper of every description the public should avoid all possible waste? It went so far as to forbid. the re-wrapping of any article that was already wrapped sufficiently to ensure the protection of the said article.

The Paeroa grocers in announcing their adoption of the Government instructions as from April 30, 'stated, however, that where parcels are sent into the country .by carriers they will be wrapped or cased, but they appeal to their country customers to co-op-erate by returning the paper dr case used for the order.

. In expressing their regret at having to take this step the grocers announce that further supplies of. wrapping paper are now unprocurable.
