ONE DAY TO BE HELD IN MARCH
OHINEMURI CUP WORTH £5OO/
The Ohinemuri Jockey Club has decided, to give £5OO as stakes for the Ohinemuri Cup Handicap, to be run at the club’s annual meeting at Paeroa on Saturday, March 14. This year the meeting is being confined to one day’s racing, and, consequently a reduction in the total stakes offered was necessary. However, the principal event is worth £soo' and the open sprint carried £250. Nominations close on Friday, February 20, at 5 p.m., with Messis Blomfield and Company, Auckland, and at 9 p.m. with the secretary, Mr J. J. Poland, Paeroa. Weights are to appear on or about March 9, and acceptances close on Tuesday, March 10. The late appearance of the weights is to enable the handicappear to review the latest racing in the province.
