Shortage of Cotton
“ Why can’t a reel of cotton be bought to-day?” asked a woman of Mr J. G. Barclay, M.P., at a meeting at Cambridge. The' member replied that there were many things that could not be bought to-day, but promised the enquirer that reels of cotton and other goods would be available before long.
