STOCK MARKET

MORRINSVILLE SALE PIGS IN KEEN DEMAND JERSEY HEIFERS BRING £6/11/An average yarding of cattle containing a small entry of cow beef came forward at the Morrinsville stock sale on Friday, values for most classes being firm at late rates. Boner cows and potter bulls realised prices equal to recent quotations. Yearling Jersey heifers were entered in good numbers, top price being £6 Ils. A small offering of dairy cattle sold readily at late rates. Bidding was steady for a fair yarding of sheep and a total clearance was effected. Offerings of twotooth wethers and woolly two-tooth ewes created geen interest. Competition for baconers and porkers was very keen. Prices for a heavy penning of stores and weaners showed a decline on late rates. Choppers also sold at reduced prices. Auctioneer’s quote:—
