EXCELLENT ACCEPTANCES OPENS ON SATURDAY Very fine acceptances have been received for the Waikato Racing Club’s meeting, which opens on Saturday. The number of horses listed for the Trial and Tamahere Stakes are 30 and 3'4 respectively, and as the safety number for the Te Rapa track is 28, divisions may be neces-
sary. Horses which the public may fancy may be as follows:— Trial Stakes, 6 fur.—Starbright, M'ayfair, Hunter’s Night. Waimai Hack Hurdles, 11 miles.—
Inness Lad, General Ruse, Inquisitor. Hautapu Hack, 7 fur.—Ruaiti, Meadow, Greek Queen. Waikato Cup, 1 mile and 3 fur.— Golden Sheila, Royevrus, Birthday Boy. Claudelands Handicap, 1 mile.-— Homily, Black Musk, Very Glad. Tamahere Stakes, for 2-year-olds, 4 fur.—Nightbeam, Kentucky, Black Robe. Cambridge Handicap, 6 fur.—Our Jean, Farland, Vai Lu. Taupiri Hack, 6 fur.—Scandal, Foxmond, Hum-a-Song.
