PAEROA DRUIDS
HOSPITAL FUND REPORT NORMAL SICK PAYMENTS The A.D., Bro. J. T. Wright, presided over a good • attendance of members of the Star of Paeroa lodge on Monday evening. The correspondence included a letter of thanks and appreciation from the Grand President for the splendid reception accorded himself and the Grand Secretary on the occasion of their visit on October 30. A new member was admitted by clearance from another lodge. The sick pay granted was of normal amount, and sundry accounts were also passed for payment. The report of the last meeting of the Auckland U.A.O.D. Hospital Fund Committee, presented by the lodge delegate, was read, by the secretary. This evoked very keen interest, and was discussd at some length by the members. The aim of this lodge to see the fund operating for aided hospital benefits was very evident. The matter will be still closely watched. The report was received and the delegate thanked. A challenge to •Te Aroha lodge to a contest at indoor bowling will go forward.
Quarterly contributions will be due at next meeting, when the nomination and election of officers for the ensuing six months will take place. A session of indoor bowling followed the close of lodge business.
