FLOWER SHOW
DISPLAY OF SPRING BLOOMS METHODIST CHURCH FIXTURE. The annual spring show held by the Methodist Church will be staged at the Centenary Hall, Paeroa, on Wednesday. A special feature will be a display of blooms by the well-known horticulturist of Thames, Mr J. W. Danby. Following is the schedule : Floral Section.
Daffodils, champion bloom; daffodils, 6 blooms, different varieties; daffodils, 3 best blooms, one variety; daffodils, best collection, 12 varieties; anemones, 6 best, single; anemones, 3 best, double; stock, 6 best, single; stock, 3 best, double; ranunculi, 6 best blooms; Iceland poppies, 12 best blooms; marigolds, 6 best blooms; polyanthus, 6 best heads; freezias, 12 best blooms; pansies, 6 best blooms; lachanalias, 6 best blooms; irises, 3 best blooms; best collection of cut flowers, 12 varieties; best collection of cut flowers, 6 varieties. Decorative Section. Best bowl of flowers, suitable for a table; best vase of flowers; best floating bowl; bowl of violets; best bow] of primroses; shoulder spray (wiring allowed). Children’s Section. Best buttonhole; best decorated basket; best posy.
