PRESENTATION OF TROPHIES CAPS FOR HIKUTAIA TEAM. Presentation of trophies and medals won by teams and players will be made by the Paeroa Rugby Union tomorrow evening at a dance to be held in the Regent and Civic Ballrooms. The union has had a very successful year, winning the Poland Cup for the Thames Valley championship, and the Hikutaia club will also receive the bulk of the union’s awards, the senior and junior championships and the senior knock-out trophy. The West junior team will receive the junior knockout cup.

A new. form of recognition of a team's merit will be made by the presentation to the Hikutaia senior team of a set of caps donated by Mr J. Peach. These caps, are in Hikutaia’s well-known maroon colours with a silver edging and make a handsome display. In addition to the programme of dancing arranged, cards may be played in the Civic Ballroom although no organised tournament has been set down.
