WOMEN’S INSTITUTES
AWHINA. The Awhina Women's Institute held its monthly meeting on September 3, Mrs Williams presiding over a good attendance. Two new members were welcomed. The roll call was “a favourite recipe.” The competition for the best apron made from one yard of print was won by Mrs Brown of Komata. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames Harrison and Kotara, and Miss Dawson.
