PAEROA RAINFALL
HEAVIEST FOR TEN YEARS THE FIGURES FOR AUGUST. The total rainfall recorded on the Public Works Department’s gauge at Paeroa for August was 6.17 inches, the heaviest fall noted for over. 10 years. The nearest approaches to this figure were 5.22 and 5.73 inches in 1935 and 1925 respectively. amount being 2.75 inches on Monday of this week. Between August 6 and August 22 the only amounts are a trace on August 8 and .03 in. on August 15. The range of temperature was between 56 deg. on August 3 and 26 and 40 dog. on August 18. The total rainfall for the year to date is 40.7 inches.
