SCHOOL SOCIAL

PLEASANT NGATEA FUNCTION. Past and present pupils of the Ngatea District High School, with the cooperation of the teachers, Mr C. R. Tully and. Miss Boden, held a very pleasant social in the Ngatea Hall last Friday evening to mark the end of the school year. Dance music was supplied by Mrs. C. H. Waite, Mrs P. R. Wilkins, Miss D. Dudding, Mr J. Plack and Mr J. Vowles, and Mr J. W. Neate was M.C. During the evening an instrumental trio was presented by Miss D. Dudding (piano), Mr W. Flint and Mr A. G. Sherlock (violins) and a saxophone solo was rendered by Mr J. Black. After supper had been served the headmaster, Mr T. N. Hewlett, expressed thanks to those who had assisted to make the function such a pleasant one.
