WEDDING

HIPPER — PITKETHLEY. St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church, Grey Lynn, Auckland, was the scene of a pretty wedding last Saturday, when the Rev. Murray Gow joined in matrimony Pearl Milicent Pitkethley, second daughter of Mrs M. Pitkethley, of Paeroa, and Lawrence EssingMr 1 and Mrs Hipper, of Perth, Westton Hipper, of Auckland, son of ern Australia.

The bride, who was given away by Mr W. Marshall, of Paeroa, wore a frock of pale pink crepe florente, cut on simple lines with elbow length sleeves, finished with rucking, and a long fitting skirt, pleated back and front. Her pink tulle veil was held in place with a halo of plaited tulle and she carried a sheaf of Christinas lilies. Attending her was her sister, Miss Christine Pitkethley, in pale green georgette, and as a flower girl, little Margaret Pope, who was in pale green organdie. Both carried bouquets to tone. Mr Arnold Pitcher, of Point Chevalier, was best man. ■ ■ n After the wedding a reception was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs A. S. Henshaw, Grey Lynn, Mrs Pitkethley receiving her guests in a gown of black silk marocain relieved with black and white trimmings. She carried a posy of autumn tinted flowers.
