ODDFELLOWSHIP
LOYAL JUBILEE LODGE. The Loyal Jubilee Lodge of Manchester Unity Oddfellows held its fortnightly meeting in the Soldiers’ Clubroom, Paeroa, last evening, Bro. H. C. Hayward, N.G., presiding over an. average attendance of members.
A fair amount of routine business was transacted and sick pay and hospital accounts passed for payment. Arrangements were made ’ for the visit to Waikino on December 12 for the group installation ceremony, which will be conducted by the District Grand Master. A donation was made to the Health Stamp Campaign Fund. The committee appointed to inquire into the purchase of the Soldiers’ Clubroom reported adversely against the suggestion- on account of the state of the building and the great cost of renovations necessary to secure a renewal of the license. It was decided to approach the proprietor concerning his intentions and also to make enquiries as to another meeting place for the coming year.
