NGATEA BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING. The Ngatea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held its annual general meeting on Thursday last, Mrs A. Cleave presiding over a good attendance. Among those present were Mrs Drinkwater, president, and Mrs Greenwood, secretary of the sub-provincial executive. The annual report presented by Mrs Cleave showed that a very great amount of work had been accomplished during the year and members had responded to the many calls upon their pockets. Officers elected were:—President, Mrs A. Cleave (re-elected); vice-pre-sidents, Mesdanies W. F. Jones,. T. A. McClean, T. Sydenham; secretary, Mrs W. Johnston; treasurer, Mrs Scott; advisory board, Mesdames R. Burke and P. R. Wilkins; committee, Mesdames R. Justin, D. Dalgety, P. R. Wilkins, E. Keane, A. Douglas; delegates to provincial confer-, ence, Mesdames Johnston and Wilkins; trustee, Mrs Scott. The retiring officers were accorded a vote of thanks and Mesdames Cleave, Sydenham and Williamson were presented with bouquets.
