FINANCIAL POSITION.
THAMES VALLEY POWER BOARD. COMPARATIVE STATEMENT. A statement of the revenue and expenditure of the Thames Valley Power Board was presented at Tuesday’s meeting, the details being as follows : Revenue.
Increases and Decreases. Increases in revenue over that of the corresponding period of the previous year were:—’Lighting, £ll4 17s 8d; domestic power, £1,274 18s 8d; water heaters, £520 7s 8d; industrial supply, £303 7s 4d; community lighting, £ll 2s lOd; towns and bulk supply, £1,368 7s lid; factories (3-party), £431 17s 8d; unread meters, £250; balance, £6Ol 19s 4d. Decreases in revenue were:—Farm motors, £2,846 7s 3d; street lighting, £B3 5s sd; trading, £775, and sundries, £BB 0s 9d.
Decreases in expenditure were:— Interest and sinking fund, £1,651 19s 9d; administration, £B5B 10s 3d; interest, £333 19s; maintenance, £596 Ils lid; motor transport, £73 2s lOd; and depreciation, £2926 3s 6d. Items showing an increase in expenditure were:—'Power purchases, £405 7s sd; bank remittance to London, £1475 14s 6d; maintenance replacements, £507 19s 4d; meters, £3,741 10s 3d, meter change-over expenses, £1,394 Is sd.
