ELECTION RESULTS.
I ANNOUNCING THE WINNERS. PUBLIC SCREENING. As in previous years, the “Gazette” is making arrangements to screen the results of the voting for the general election as they arrive. While it is recognised that the need for this is not so great now that radio has become widespread, it is also recognised that all cannot listen in. Instead of screening the results in front of the “Gazette” office, where only a small screen can be used, arrangements have been made with Mr P. Jennings, of the Aurora Theatre, to screen the results where they can be seen from the Post Office square. They will also be screened within the theatre at intervals during the programme. The figures screened will be those received by radio, as well as by telegraph.
