THEFT AT RUATORIA.

SEQUEL AT NETHERTON. DOUBLE ARREST EFFECTED. As the result of information received from various sources, the Paeroa Police were yesterday enabled to effect a double arrest at Netherton. Last evening two men, Joe Johnson and Percy Goldsmith, appeared in the Paeroa Police Court, before Mr B. Gwilliam, J.P., charged with stealing at Ruatoria, East Coast, on or about September 14th, two horses valued’at £6 each, and also one horse cover. were remanded to appeal - before the Magistrate at Paeroa on December 3rd, and in the meantime are in custody in the Thames,,gaol. It is alleged that the two men rode through from Ruatoria to Netherton, where they found work on a farm. When arrested they were still in possession of .the horses, which were taken charge of by the police.
