WOMEN’S INSTITUTES.

KAIHERE. Mrs F. D. Bird presided in the 'absence of Mrs W. Benny at the monthly meeting of the Institute. The motto for the day was, “Look for the silver lining.” A' penny competition was won by Mesdames Wallace and Me; Cauley. It was decided to hold and social on September 12. The Power Board kindly offered to give a demonstration of electric cooking, and to supply the apparatus and materials on a date to be arranged. The hostesses were Mesdames Richardson and Furniss.
