RIFLE SHOOTING.

PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB. THREE NIGHT COMPETITION. On Wednesday evening the members of the Paeroa Miniature Rifle Club fired the second shot of the three shoot' handicap competition for the trophy donated by the Paeroa Hardware Co. and Messrs. Tisdall Ltd., of Auckland. Any two of these matches count in the final aggregate. The , shooting was very keen and. interesting, .no less than three obtaining the limit, 100, with their handicaps. The top score off the rifle, 97, was registered by Mr. F. C. Hubbard, President of the club, who is now in the lead with the possible number, of points, while six others, who have already ■obtained the limit in one shoot, are all close behind and it looks as though a very exciting and close finish will be witnessed at the final shoot-next Wednesday evening.
