HUNTLY GUN CLUB.
The Huntly Gun Club held a shoot on Saturday last in Mr. Harris' paddeck, Huntly West. The weather was not very satisfactory, the day being overcast and the light dull. There was also a fair wind. Nevertheless, a good performance was put up by the shooters. The first trophy shot for was that donated by Mr Chris. Bailey, and the second for the one donated by Mr. F. Littleproud. The results of the shooting are as follows:—Mr. C. Bailey’s trophy, for the 9 birds shoot, was won by N. Bossad, on the 24 yards who secured the possible nine birds off the first barrel. There were ten entries for this event. Mr. F. Littleproud’s trophy was won by C. Smith, on the 14 yards shoot, with the posseven off the first barrel. In the (6 birds) there were Entries, and F. Smith, E. Berry fßossad shot the possible, and cmffßed *jhe stake. There were twelve eutrVii for the second sweepstake (6 birds fbr which C. Smith and J. Holland shot_Uie possible and divided the stake. This was the final shoot and a pleasant afternoon’s sport was concluded.
