DEATH AT FOOTBALL.

COLLAPSE DURING PLAY While playing in a practice football match at the Recreation Ground at midday on Friday last, Mr William Patterson, a married man, aged 31, suddenly collapsed and died. Mr Patterson had been receiving treatment for some considerable time for heart trouble from Dr. D. Mackay, who was prepared to give a certificate to this effect and therefore no inquest was necessary.
