Personal Notes of Troopers who have fallen.

PRIVATE RICHARD ROBINSON.

Private Richard Robinson, posted as missing since the Bth August, is the only son of Mr Thomas Robinson of Extended Street, Huntly, and was born in New South Wales. He arrived in New Zealand with his parents ten years ago, and had resided Huntly practically ever since that date. On the outbreak of war, he was one of those who went with the First Contingent to Samoa. On returning to New Zealand, he immediately enlisted once more, and went as a member of the Wellington Infantry Battalion with the sth Reinforcement to the Dardanelles. He took part in the important engagements early in August and was posted missing as above CORPORAL GEORGE P ATERSON. Corporal George Paterson, of the Auckland Infantry Battalian, who left with the sth Reinforcements, and was wounded on August Bth, is another of our Huutly boys. He came from Scotland four years ago, landing in the South Island, but later came to Huntly, and at the out-break of the War was working in Ralph’s Mine. He was a member of the Huntly Orchestra, and was wellknown and liked in the town. Prior to his departure for the front, corporal Paterson was married to a daughter of Mrs Brown, of Huntly South.
