LICENSING

WESTLAND COMMITTEE MEETS.

The quarterly and adjourned annual meeting of the Westland Licensing Committee were held at the Courthouse to-day. Messrs F. McGregor, J. Kyle, J. B. Kent, and T. It. Cliesternian were present. In the absence of Mr Olnsiiolmii, S.M., Mr McGregor was elected chairman.

The application for renewal of an Accommodation License by John Moilessey in respect of the Wataroa Hotel was granted, the repairs required having been carried out. The renewal of the Publican’s License for the Union Hotel, Grey mouth, (George Robert Stribling, licensee) was also granted, the additional bathroom required having been installed. The following transfers were granted :

Paroa Hotel: Elizabeth Burger to John Edward Kennedy. Clydesdale Hotel, Ross: Frederick James Poole to Robert Wm. Parker. Terminus Hotel, Otira: Daniel G. O’Connor to Thomas Grenall Lewis.
