MAN’S CONDITION SERIOUS.

AUCKLAND, September 10.

A severe wound was suffered by Mr George Walter Cullen, aged 33, a sharemilker, of East Tamaki, on Saturda3* night when a .22 rifle was accidentally discharged in the motor-car in which he was returning from a rabbit-shoot-ing trip. Mr Cullen was admitted to the Auckland Hospital late in the evening and his condition last night was serious. Mr Cullen and Mr T. D. Ormiston, an East Tamaki farmer, were motoring along an uniformed {road near the Whitford-East Tamaki highway shortly after 7 p.m. when the rifle, which was lying between the two men in t?ie front seat, discharged.
