CONSUL FOR URUGUAY”. (Per Press Association—Copyright). AUCKLAND. July 9. In view of the disturbed state of affairs due to Nazi activities in Uruguay, Honor H. Mane, Consul for Uruguay, will leave shortly for his native country, where his wife and children reside. Scnor Mane came to the Dominion nearly a year ago to study sheepfarming. and carried out the duties of Ccinsul, with headquarters in Wellington. in view of the l high reputation of New Zealand shcepfa ruling, he decided to spend two years in the Dominion investigating methods here. He sa'id his studies Intel been invaluable. He was sorry he had to return sooner than he expected. A CHARGE DISMISSED. TEMUKA. July 9. Reserved decision was given on a charge against Bn Hi ns Breweries, Christchurch, of having aided, counselled. assisted, and procured William Joseph Quirkc to have in his possession or control labels appropriate and intended for labelling bottles containing
liquor, and not having imprinted on them the words “Bottled in Now Zealand.” After reviewing the evidence and .tlu* submissions by counsel, the Magistrate dismissed the charge.
