EVERYBODY’S PICTURES. TO-NIGHT AND THURSDAY. “BRIDAL SUITE.’’ . ■ l Teaming .Anuabolla and Robert Young, “Bridal Suite’’ makes its romping cteout on tile screen of the Princess Theatre to-night. Never were two leading players more happily east than this pair, assuming respectively the roles of an irresistible manageress of a Swiss ■ inn and an American playboy. And; 1 when it is added that this romantic comedy twain /re bulwarked in their zany doings by such screen artists as Walter Connolly’, Reginald Owen, Gene Lockhart, Arthur Treacher and Billie Buriie, you may well gather that “Bridal Suite’’ is a picture not to be missed. In the story Robert Young is a thoroughly irresponsible, happy-go-lucky pursuer of feminine hearts who forgets anything of importance, even liis weddipg date. To cure him his mother, Billie Burke, rushes him oil to Switzerland. Walter Connolly is the psychiatrist called upon to treat him. But Annabella, baker of nusspusserls and breaker of hearts, is there to intrigue You/iig’s heart while Connolly works vainly on his head. The result is a mad whirl of daffy complications and troubles that take all four into .perilous situations on the mountain sides, uproarious love scenes and hilarious battles. REGENT THEATRE. TO-NIGHT AND THURSDAY. “INTERMEZZO.” A notable event in motion pictures will take place at the Regent Theatre when David 0. Selznick’s latest pro- ' duction “Intermezzo, A Love Story” is shown to-night. Without mia- ' cing words, “Intermezzo” must be put down as one of the hits of the year. Directed by Gregory Ratoff and starring such top-notchers a s Leslie Howard and Edna Best, the production also introduces a new continental star, Ingrid Bergman. Miss Bergman is a young and beautiful actress who can definitely act. In addition to the starring trio, the supporting cast includes John Halliday, Cecil Kelleway, Enid Bennett, and Eleanor Wesselhoeft, all of whose performance leave nothing to be desired. Ann Todd, aged six, and Douglas Scott, aged thirteen, are the juvenile actors who portray the children 'of Leslie Howard and" Edna Best in the picture, and they round out an exceptionally fine cast. “Intermezzo” is a dramatic love story and recounts the adventures of a world-famous man who deserts his family when he falls madly in love with a young and beautiful pianiste. ■ Their travels in continental Europe provide the film with some fine pictorial action and exciting background scenes. And how they finally solve their problems provides “Intermezzo” with a tense and poignant climax.
