WORTHY GESTURE

RUGBY, March 18. A meeting of ten thousand coal miners employed by the Bolsovcr Colliery in Nottinghamshire unanimously agreed to forego a large part of their holidays in order to increase the British production of coal. The men agreed to a reduction of their Easter holidays by half, and also to forego part of their summer holidays of one week, and also to work on alternate Saturdays.
!H return the colliery company guarantee.', that there wiil he no lowering of the basic wage rates during the war. and the men will receive the same amount from the summer holiday savings fund ns if they had taken full holidays.
