SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEETING. A special meeting of the Hokitika District High School Committee was held last evening, at which there was a full attendance of members. The resignation of Mr F. Clark, caretaker of the School, was received with regret and the secretary was instructed to write a letter to Mr Clark, expressing the Committee’s appreciation of his services during the period He has filled the position. ; " The 1 applications for the vacancy were then considered, the final selection being Mr G. R. Armstrong, of Hokitika. There were seveti applications. The new .caretaker will take up his duties on Mgnday , October 2nd.
