WESTLAND SUB-UNION MEETING

Mr C. L. Harper presided at the meeting of the Westland Rugby SubUnion which was held on Monday evening. Members present were Messrs A. Stevenson, W. H. Stopforth, M. David, son, S. Havill, G. Shaw, F. McGregor, J. Richards, A. H. Lawn and E. W. Heenan (secretary). Apologies for absence were received from Messrs S. Moore and B. Kelly, It was decided to appeal to the New Zealand Rugby Union against the Wes* Coast Union’s decision in declaring Blaketown’s forfeit to the Kiwi' Club was void. v

The following fixtures werevdecided on for Saturday :

Junior knockout final: Kiwis"v. Kokatahi, Cass Square, 1.30 pun. (Rev, Dr. Harrison). :

Third Grade: School v. Royers, Cass Square, 1.30 p.m. (D. Stuart). .<■ It was decided to request the West Coast Union to select the date'for the Graham Wise Cup as Saturday, September 16, if possible.

COAST MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.'

The weekly meeting of the. Management Committee of the West Coast Rugby Union was held at Greymouth .last evening. ‘ . The Westland Sub-Union forwarded a request,from the Kokatahi Sub-Union that the Graham Wise Cup match with Te Kinga, be played at Kumara on Scptember 16. The fixture was approved.

The Kiwi Club, through the Westland Sub-Union notified' 'that it was appealing to the New Zealand Union of the IJ it ion’s decision in declaring that Blaketown’s 'forfeit to them, on the occasion on which all fixtures ucic postponed was void. The Hurunui Sub-Union wrote, asking if a representative game could be arranged at Greymouth on September 16 or 23. .■ j
