BOWLING

WELLINGTON TEAM. Two rinks of Wellington bowlers paid a visit to the local green yesterterday afternoon where a game was played, under pleasant conditions, the green playing well. Mr D. Stevenson (President) welcomed the visitors, Mr Eljerm replying on- their behalf. The game ended in a win for the local team, - the particulars being as follows— Hokitika—Sherman, Ballinger, Brown, King (s) 19. Wellington—Watt, Murphy, Duncan, O’Gorman (s) 14; Hokitikar—Schroder, Anderson, Conning. Stevenson (s) 25 ; ■ Wellington—Bruce, Diddle, Ellerm, Goodwin (s) 22.

The Karoro Bowling Club are making their postponed visit to Hokitika on Saturday afternoon, their previous arranged visit having been postponed a fortnight ago owing to rain. The game will be played for the Reynold’s Badges, at present held by Hokitika. The visiting team are bringing four rinks, r and also two’ rinks of edits. ThV Hokitika team is that previously notified.
