The meeting is being favoured with highly favourable conditions, with the track in excellent order, and the attendance of patrons, thoroughly satisfactory. First HurdUs—2-2 Top Rank VStone) 1, 5-5 Contract (Beale) 2, 3-3 Debrain (Powell) 3'. Won by 2 lengths-, half a length. Time 3.4. Ohapi Hack Handicap—3-4 Romarin (Mcsservey 1, 4-5 Cornu's (Russell) 2, 2-2 Royal Refrain (L. J. Ellis) 3. Scr: Auctor, Ryetown. ' Won by half a length; neck. Time 1.17. Royal Refrain stumbled and fell after passing the post, and the jockey, L. J. Ellis, was thrown over the rail, lie was taken to hospital.
