WRESTLING
BLOMFIELD Y. McKAY,
'.Per Press Association—Copyright). WELLINGTON, April 26.
A wrestling bout, remarkable more for sheer savagery than for clean scientific wrestling, ended in “Lofty” Blomfield, professional heavyweight champion of New Zealand, beating the American ; Pat McKay, who was upable to continue after falling a victim to the octopus clamp. The Town Hall, Wellington, where the match took place, was crowded. Throughout the early phases Doth wrestlers made free with elbow-jolts, hair-tugging, ear-pulling, and other rough tactics. In the sixth round, Blomfield tripped McKay, and clapped on the octopus clamp. McKay resisted stubbornly until the end of the round, but was so disabled by the hold that lie was un- N able to' rise to liis feet. The match' was awarded to Blomfield. .: <_ . -
