BOOKING CHARGE

BUTCHERS’ SCHEME FAIRS, (Per Press Association —Copyright). BLENHEIM, March 11. Blenheim butchers recently introduced a system of a penny per pound charge for delivery, and a penny per pound for hooking meat, for the same reasons as those governing the Auckland but the scheme proved a failure. First one and then another member of the Master Butchers’ Association departed from the arrangement .tiiich was finally abandoned by all. The result is that the Association itself is now virtually defunct, although an attempt will he made to revive it. Air R. Simpson, the president, expressed the opinion that the charges would be successful in assisting the Auckland butchers to overcome their difficulties, because they would be uhanimously loyal to the arrangement.
