The Italian explorer and alpinist, Gianni Albertini, flying from Milan to Croydon, from where he intended to start an attempt to beat flightLieutenaut A. E. Clouston’s record to Capetown, crashed at Le Bourget. The plane was destroyed, but Albertini and liis crew of two were not hurt.
