Colonel Partridge on arrival at Sydney said the people of Epgland,wero not at all keen for the King to have a son and heir. He .added : • “I ; think that in a way it would be rather a tragedy if the King did have a son.. The Princess Elizabeth is immensely popular and is generally accepted ns being the successor to the Throne.
