The death occurred to-day of tile 'State table tennis* champion, Cecil Smith, who had been selected to play for Australia against the visiting Hungarians on October 11.
BREWERY STRIKERS -REMAIN
Brisbane, September 22.
At Castlemaiue Perkins Brewery, the strikers are continuing their stay-in tactics despite the industrial Court’s threat to disregister their Union, which decision became elroo tive to-day.
It. is reported that the employers are now taking steps to eject the strikers.

The condition of the cricketer, Ron. Oxenhain is unchanged. He has not recovered consciousness yet from the skull fracture he suffered in a motor accident.
