The, “Times’ ” Rome correspondent says that the indignation aroused both by the Nyon arrangements and the procedure adopted at the Conference, is steadily mounting. One commentator writes of Britain and France as having * organised a regular wavai demonstration, if not a dross renearsal, of «o-opei’atiou between the two fleets in a nossible future war.” The situation is declared to he becoming more difficult, and the extension of the Mediterranean patrol to cover surface Vessels is described in some Italian circles a-s a symptom of the mania for creating fatal incidents
