TO PLAY IN CHRISTCHURCH (Per Press Association —Copyright) CHRISTCHURCH, July 9. George Nepia, the famous All Black and Rugby League full-back has accepted au offer from the Canterbury Rugby League, to play in matches in Christchurch during August. Since his return from England after playing Rugby League for Streaiiham-Mitcluim and Halifax, Nepia-\ has been working on his farm on the East Coast, and has not played any football. Negotiations were opened towards the end of last month and to-day a letter was received saying he would agree to the terms offered. The New Zealand Rugby League has cabled the English authorities for Nepia’s clearance, so that he can play in Christchurch and also turn out for the Maori thirteen to meet the Australian tourists in their match at Auckland on August 11.
