Alontanez knocked out Phil -Baker in the second of a ten-round bout, increasing the likelihood of a title match with Ambers. •Montanez was ■ curious in the first round, forcing Baker to come to him, and then scoring with a series of lefts to the jaw. In the second, Baker’s attempt to gain close quarters permitted Alointanez to land a left and three terrific rights to the jaw, resulting in a knock-out.
