DEATH SENTENCE
COMAIUTED TO LIFE TERM. (Australian Press Association). SYDNEY, June 9. John Thomas Griffith, a New Zealander; was sentenced to death at Melbourne for capital offences against women. His sentence has now been commuted to imprisonment for life. Griffith tokl the Court that his father had been murdered with a sandbag aft Dunedin many years ago.
