GOOD HUMOUR
ORDERLINESS IN CRISIS. VISITORS MUt. ...PHcsSED. (United Press Association—By Electriu Telegraph- Copyright). LONDON, May 19. Strange as it seems, the London bus strike is probably the. best advertisement ever given the English people. Visiting crowds of Americans and Continentals, who think of strikes in terms of tear-gas and baton charges, are dumbfounded by the orderliness during a crisis which has deprived half of the city’s workers of their means of transport. Although the tubes are uncomfortably crowded, packed and hot, there are no signs of frayed nerves. The public is tijking its difficulties an a joke, instead of a tragedy. On its notices advising against crushing and jostling in doorways the Transport Board has printed hearts as ia symbol of goodwill.
