STEAMER STRIKES ROCKS (Per Press Association.— Copyright). SYDNEY, May 14. One man was drowned and another died from a heart attack,-when the collier, Minmu, 1455 tons, struck the rocks off Cape Banks at the entrance to Botany Bay late last night, while groping her way through a thick log and a heavy sea. Sixteen, of the crew got safely ashore by a lifeline, hurled to the ship by garrison gunners, after many attempts had been made A fireman named Burnside was drowned when he lost his grip oil the line. The cook, named Boulton died soon after th<> vessel struck the rocks. His body is still on the ship. After sixteen of the crew were rescued, the collier, with seven still aboard, broke in the middle, but early this morning another Rue was fired to tlfe vessel and Tour men were rescued. The remaining members of the crew were hauled ashore at four o’clock this morning, by a bosun’s chair. An hour later the Minmu had broken badly and was tilting alarmingly.
